Dr. Katherine Loflin keynote speaker at MNL AGM in Corner Brook
November 1, 2017
MNL will kick off the 67th Annual Conference with an Opening Ceremony sponsored by Newfoundland Power on Thursday, November 2, 2017. The reception will begin at 6:30 pm at the Corner Brook Civic Centre Studio.
Delegates will hear a few words of welcome which will set the tone and direction of the conference while networking with other delegates, presenters, exhibitors, and sponsors who have all contributed to the event. Karen Oldford, President of Municipalities Newfoundland and Labrador says she’s thrilled to once again have Newfoundland Power as our Opening Ceremony sponsor and is looking forward to a warm welcome from their President and Chief Executive Officer, Jocelyn Perry.
MNL is also delighted to have Dr. Katherine Loflin as the keynote speaker. Katherine’s strong message of “Placemaking” and why we choose to live where we do is positively engaging. Katherine will speak about why “Place” is essential and what that means for creating healthy communities where people want to live, work and play. MNL has collaborated with Katherine in the past, and everyone in our organization enjoyed working with her, and we’re delighted to have the opportunity to do so again.
